SEED GERMINATION OF FLAX (LINUM USITATISSIMUM) A STUDY BASED ON LABORATORY
Abstract
This study investigates the seed germination performance of flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) under controlled laboratory and natural field conditions. Germination percentage, germination speed, and seedling vigor were evaluated across different environmental factors including temperature, moisture availability, and soil types. Results indicate that optimal germination occurs at 20–25°C with adequate moisture, and that drought stress significantly reduces germination rate.
